Saturday July 7th.

Children to Collect (art) Objects). We asked every exhibitor to donate
a working sketch. These were for sale in the entry tent and were only
sold to young people under 18 years of age.
- University of Gloucestershire:
Foundation and BA students from the University of Gloucestershire made
a series of works as part of their coursework remit.
- Bursaries were awarded to:
- Sound Intermedia for a sound and music installation
inspired by the FreshAir show in collaboration with the Cheltenham Music
Festival.
- Laura Ellen Bacon for “Water Bound Form”
a Somerset willow sculpture to be created on site.
- Lorna Green for a floral installation.
- The William Yeoward Award
William Yeoward, a generous supporter of Fresh Air for over a decade,
is
well known for his understanding of good design and craftsmanship.
Innovative as always, he created a new type of bursary for Fresh Air.
He is sponsored Colin Hawkins of Loco Glass Ltd to create a new candelabra
in hot glass. This was auctioned during the exhibition and £3000
was raised to sponsor another young artist in 2009, to be chosen by
William Yeoward.
- Teacher's Development Day: An inspirational one
day workshop for
teachers of art with exhibiting artist Damian Llambias.
